Host Your Own Event
Some of the most successful fundraising events are those put on by people who just want to help out any way they can. They aren’t really connected to Craig Street Cats, but they want to help us out. Over the past 3 years they have done things like:
Garage Sales: some very generous people have hosted garage sales, and donated the proceeds to Craig Street Cats.
Dinner Parties: instead of going out for dinner, friends host dinner parties at their own homes. Each guest puts what he or she would have spent at a restaurant into a ‘kitty’, and the total is donated to Craig Street Cats.
Birthday Donations: Winnipeg is blessed with some very generous young people who ask that friends and family make donations to C.S.C. instead of buying them gifts. Some parents have made that decision for their very young children and babies.
Other Event Ideas:
Kisses for Kittens: when wedding guests want the bride and groom to kiss they make a donation to C.S.C. We will gladly provide specially decorated donation cans for this purpose.
Lemonade / Kool Aid Stand: Just what it sounds like. Yes, kids still do this.
Barbeque: Have a great time in the back yard and ask your guests to make a donation in exchange for their dinner!
Social: a time honored Winnipeg fundraising tradition

- Car Wash
- Games Night
- Potluck Lunch
With a little thought, we’re sure you could make this a very long list. Be creative, have fun, and let us know what you’re planning. We’ll gladly help out with promotion through our website and facebook.

There are quite a few things you can do, and we will help you as much as we can by providing promotion and use of our logo. There are also some things that you cannot do:
You may not in any way imply that Craig Street Cats is sponsoring your event. You may state that you are holding an event ‘in support of’ or with ‘proceeds to’, followed by our name or logo. If Craig Street Cats will not receive all of the proceeds, you must state what portion we will receive.
You may not use our name in connection with any event or activity that is illegal, in poor taste, or casts Craig Street Cats in a poor light.
