Several kendles, actually. 15 kittens call Craig Street Cats home, right now.
It’s been quite awhile since I introduced you to any of the babies around here, so I thought I should probably do that

The Big House
This is the big kitten pen, front and center in my living room. It is currently home to 9 kittens, from 4 different litters. The babies have lots of toys and hammocks in their big house, and they get “walk about” time twice a day. They really need homes so that they can walk about all day.

Sitting in the Corner
This little guy has claimed the curly toy as his own. He sits on the base so that nobody else can play with it — until he gets bored and moves onto the next toy. He was found, abandoned with his mother, when new owners took possession of a house in the north end.

Dumpster Baby
This little calico and her sister were found in a dumpster in August.

The Tinies
The Tinies are the last 2 of a litter of 5 from the Clayton colony. These two are about 8 weeks old, and weigh less than a pound apiece. They are not out of the woods, yet. Both of these babies are seriously under weight. By 8 weeks they should weigh close to 2 pounds each. Although they are eating well, and getting the best care we can give them, the Tinies may not make it.

Fun in the Hammock

More Fun in the Hammock
Of course, walk about time is all about play, and the hammocks are a favorite place to cuddle and wrestle.
In addition to the 11 kittens shown here, there are 3 special needs babies with cerebellar hypoplasia. That’s the cat equivalent of cerebral palsy. They are great, cuddly kittens, but they have trouble walking. All 3 are able to get around just fine, but they sometimes fall over on their sides, or do face plants when they try to do things quickly. They will make great pets for people who can understand how special they are.
