Lucky

Sunday, January 25th, 2009

This is Lucky.  He lived in our front yard shelter for several months until he decided that it was just too cold to stay outside.  On a bitterly cold day he walked up to one of the neighbours and meowed at her.  She picked him up and brought him here.  Since then Lucky has been living in my office.  As you can see in the photo, he has quite a bit of wear and tear, but he’s a friendly boy with lots of love to give.  Lucky was neutered last week, and is available for adoption to a home where he will be an adored only pet.

More moving trauma. . .

I thought that I had cleaned up all the little messes that happened when I moved this site to its new space, but I was very wrong.  If you were trying to access the site yesterday, you might have found yourself staring at blank pages, or error messages.  That’s because I was reinstalling the programs that keep Craig Street Cats running.  Fortunately, there was no damage to our database, and all the past entries are intact.   Here’s hoping that I have it right, this time ;)

Help find Sweetpea

Sweetpea is lost. Have you seen him?

Sweetpea is lost. Have you seen him?

Last week I got an email from Patricia, on Greenwood.   Her cat, Sweetpea, is missing.  Sweetpea is a 12 year old black / brown neutered male tabby that weighs 13 lbs.  One of his eyes is cloudy.  He has been missing since December 26, and Patricia is very worried about him.  If you have seen Sweetpea, or know anything about him, please contact Patricia at 803-2602.

I hope Sweetpea finds his way home soon.

Baby Bunny Cats

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

The baby bunny cats came to us on Boxing Day.  They were living under a garage on Sherburn Street before June called and asked for help with them.

I suppose you’re wondering why on earth I call them baby bunny cats.  Well, look at them.  They are sweet, and gentle and round, just like bunnies.  I have never seen such sweet tempered, sturdy, well nourished, feral kittens.  Right now they are living in the bathroom, with the older Fleazle, and trying to make a dash for the main floor every time the door opens.  Of course, they come right back for a cuddle, so their freedom is short lived ;)

Update:  The Bunnies are available for adoption.  The girls have been spayed and had their shots, and will be ready for their forever homes by the end of January.  Don’t miss out on the sweetest kittens we have ever seen.
